REFOCUS

I spent some serious time this weekend refocusing.

I had my training plan glaring at me all week with big fat zeros and bright red highlights.

I didn’t end up running Friday OR Saturday.

I actually ended up sleeping in until 11am on Saturday.

That absolutely felt fabulous. It wasn’t making me any faster, but it sure felt good.

Sunday I figured I’d continue to relax. I knew I would be running all 6 days this week and there was no sense in making it 7 days. The hubs and I did some yard work and finally got the Christmas lights taken down.

I want to thank all of you that sent me messages. It added fuel to the fire and made me want to get back out there. You all are my motivation! Honoring the fallen is my motivation. Some days I just need to take some time for me. Change it up a little bit. I have been going balls to the wall with training ever since I started back in December and I think it finally caught up to me. I feel rejuvenated today. I feel ready to go for a run. The weather is also helping.

I’m ready to get out and run.

I just have to keep remembering my reasons to run! 2014 isn’t totally about me.

Its about honoring the fallen.
