Running for the Fallen – February Edition
In 8 days I will take on race number two. I will be back down in Colorado; and once again I have been obsessing over the weather. While I’m not expecting shorts running weather again I would sure love to have shorts running weather again! Happy thoughts for good weather.
I’m sure there are a few of you out there that have been patiently waiting for the February Edition.
I have been asked a few times who I am honoring.
I have chosen to honor 9 men this month.
These 9 men lost their lives when the helicopter they were in crashed in a remote location in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest while fighting the Iron 44 fire in California in 2008.
7 of theses men were employed with Grayback Forestry Inc as part of a handcrew.
Shawn Blazer of Medford, OR.
Matthew Hammer of Grants Pass, OR.
Edrik Gomez of Ashland, OR.
Bryan Rich of Medford, OR.
Steven “Caleb” Renno of Cave Junction, OR.
One was a veteran pilot.
Roark Schwanenberg of Lostine, OR.
And a USFS helicopter inspector pilot.
Jim Ramage of Redding, CA.

Please take a minute to think about these men.
Never forget them.
Pray that their families continue to find strength each and every day.
Think about donating in honor of them and supporting Two Little Feet.
